The Solution

CS2 provided; Condition surveys (Quinquennial Inspections), planned preventative maintenance schedules, lifecycle costing, repair and maintenance recommendations, compliance recommendations and dilapidations on 10 different buildings, including a chapel, living accommodation, college buildings, lecture and seminar rooms, staff offices, student common areas including canteen and nursery.

The purpose of the project was to provide the Methodist Church with a reasonable prediction of expenditure required over the next 5 years to put into repair and maintain the property. It was also to highlight any health and safety issues and ensure compliance. The performance of the project was part of an asset management strategy to ensure the buildings and their components function adequately, preserve the value of the buildings and their historic nature, satisfy legal obligations and achieve best value in terms of built assets.
