Job Responsibilities

  • Leading, supporting and delivering pre-assessments and energy assessments to a variety of clients and sectors.
  • Delivering BREEAM and BREEAM AP project proposals and tenders from the team.
  • Producing commercial energy performance certificates.
  • Producing building modelling for Net Carbon Zero reporting, residential carbon modelling and SAP calcs.
  • Supporting business development activities for the team in relation to Energy and Sustainability.
  • Supporting the delivery of project administration and financial management from the team.
  • Supporting works in carbon LCA (embodied, construction and operational).
  • Supporting sustainability and energy statements.
  • Composing feasibility reports for renewable installations.
  • Supporting Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and Building Surveyors by advising, directing and reporting on a host of construction and refurbishment projects.

Essential For You To Have;

  • Relevant Environmental qualifications (CEnv, MIEMA, MEI or equivalent required).
  • Licensed in NDEPC, DEC, SAPs: commercial, public, education, multi-residential, and bespoke.
  • Energy and sustainability with proven project management.
  • At least 5 years of previous work experience in the field; ideally at senior level for the last 12 months.
  • Good level of understanding in LEED and WELL, CFSH and HQM.
  • Experience and knowledge of SBTi, Carbon Disclosure Projects, GHG Protocol Reporting, SECR and Scopes of Emissions.
  • Good knowledge of implementing energy modelling i.e. SBEM and SAP, to Net Carbon Zero level.
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • (BS Only) Provide excellent and professional building surveying to clients, including; building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, schedules of condition, party wall awards.
  • (QS Only) Provide professional quantity surveying duties including cost planning, preparation of tender documentation and contract documentation, on-site valuations, interim payment applications and preparation of Bills of Quantities etc.
  • Have perspective and knowledge of sectors such as education, residential, social housing, retail, industrial and logistics, office, student accommodation, NHS and defence.
  • You must generate your own workload, delegating where appropriate.

You will be responsible for providing relevant surveying services to our existing clients of the business across a range of sectors, as well as giving support and advice to other members of the Quantity/Building Surveying Department. *Please note this is a Building Surveying only role in London.

 

Job Responsibilities

  1. (BS Only) Provide professional building surveying duties including building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, schedules of condition, party wall awards etc.
  2. (QS Only) Provide professional project management, employer’s agent and quantity surveying services including developing the client’s initial requirements and subsequent development of the full brief. Advise on selection and appointment of the professional team, review design and concept proposals, appraise and advise on alternative design proposals, prepare master strategic programme (monitored and updated), establish and manage communication procedures, advise on suitable tendering arrangements, advise on and collate scheme requirements and specification, in conjunction with other members of the professional team, prepare employer’s requirements documentation, provide to tenderers and undertake the role of employers agent as defined under the building contract through the construction period, arranging, chairing and minute monthly progress, design and other meeting as necessary, including chasing and managing actions. On completion carry out inspections, advise on the issue of practical completion certificate and schedule of defects and outstanding works and monitor rectification of defects up to the end of the rectification period. From a cost management perspective provide cost planning, preparation of tender documentation and contract documentation, on-site valuations, interim payment applications etc.
  3. Effectively communicate with both internal and external parties ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  4. Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts and business opportunities.
  5. Develop relevant knowledge and skills through regular CPD activities and maintain an up-to-date awareness of all necessary legislation affecting the technical aspects of quantity surveying, sharing knowledge and information where appropriate.
  6. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

  • Work towards completing APC as quickly and efficiently as possible
