This month marked the 20th year of CS2. As part of our anniversary celebrations, we have decided that the money we would have spent on a big birthday celebration, will instead go towards local volunteering projects for each of our office locations. All six regions will decide on a project and cause that they wish to help. Next to embark on their volunteering project is the CS2 Birmingham Office:
Our Birmingham Team have chosen to volunteer at Manor Farm Park on 19th September.
Manor Farm Park is an unspoilt open space in Northfield, South Birmingham. It has a variety of terrain with a large lake which is home to many species of wildfowl, plus woods, meadows, grassland, wetland, wildflower areas and scrub. There is an ancient hedgerow, and several brooks and small waterfalls. On our Volunteering day we will be involved in painting bridges, undertaking minor repair works to fences, buildings etc., small construction works (where required), planting trees and general maintenance works to the Farm Park.
The team look forward to spending the day volunteering for this wonderful cause; making a big difference to local residents and also improving the natural habitat of it’s wildlife.
