The Challenge
A pre-acquisition inspection of the client’s building, which was being converted from a hotel to a residential block, revealed numerous technical issues which needed to be resolved during the refurbishment. The developer was unable to demonstrate a track record of this type of development and therefore needed assistance with monitoring the project.
The Solution
Subsequently to CS2 undertaking a pre-acquisition inspection of the property, the client instructed CS2 to act in a project monitoring role to ensure that the project focused on the highlighted issues from the previous survey. CS2 was able to ensure that a very high standard of design, materials, and workmanship was achieved throughout the project by undertaking regular inspections; allowing the apartments to be marketed immediately following completion.
