The Challenge
Our client required a full-refurbishment of their multi-storey office building. They also required a review of their energy and sustainability practices, with their current EPC rating as E.
The Solution
CS2 undertook the Project Management, Quantity Surveying and Principle Designer role for the alteration and refurbishment of the part ground floor office space, reception area and communal WC’s within an office building, following vacation by the tenant. The alterations included provision of a breakout area and changing room with showers in the building.
CS2 refurbished the office space to a Grade A BREEAM standard, including a brand new Variable Refrigerant Flow heating/cooling system (VRF) set in a semi-exposed raft arrangement along with motion controlled LED strip lighting; which ultimately reduced energy consumption by up to 50%. Leaving the building with a final EPC Rating B.
CS2’s role included preparing tender documentation, analysis of tender returns and post contract services.
