The Challenge
CS2 were appointed to provide Employers Agent & Quantity Surveying services on the redevelopment of the 2nd phase of the previous YMCA site in Central Milton Keynes, following the success of our role on the completion of the new YMCA building (phase 1) that is now fully operational on North Sixth Street.
The Solution
The new C&D block will accommodate a number of facilities which includes 261 BTR Residential apartments, retail areas, underground parking and communal terrace amenity areas. The following fit-out will include amenity spaces for residents such as a lounge and gym area.
This 26-month project programme when finished will be a landmark and one of the tallest buildings in Milton Keynes.
The project is currently in the post-contract phase. CS2 are undertaking full EA role including management and liaison with several stakeholders/Client and JCT contract management. Post contract QS role including valuations and contract cost control.
CS2 are pleased to report on the latest progress report that the project is currently ahead of programme with foundations complete and the start of steel frame erection.
