NEW CHILL STORE TO ASSIST ROLL OUT OF ‘PROJECT DIAMOND ICE’

The Challenge

CS2 client Poundland required a new 24,000sqft chill store within their existing distribution centre. This was to assist with the roll out of its chilled and frozen food range across 500 of its stores.

CS2 acted as Project Manager and Cost Consultant for the delivery of the new chill store, which was completed whilst the existing DC remained fully operational.

CS2 provided feasibility options for different locations of the new chill facility within the existing DC. Existing spatial and power supply capacity to the site was limited and this played a limiting factor in the overall design. Our specialist team also provided co-ordination of the wider design team.
