CS2 PROVIDE QS SERVICES ON THE REFURBISHMENT AND EXTENSION OF TOWN CENTRE LANDMARK, THE NORTHAMPTON MUSEUM

The Challenge

CS2 were instructed to provide pre and post contract Cost Management services for the refurbishment of the Northampton Museum. The project comprised the refurbishment and extension of the existing museum to provide contemporary gallery spaces, new café and ancillary areas.

With a tight budget, and the uncertainty of an older building, our specialist team delivered comprehensive Employer’s Requirements documents, which ensured a rigid tender process was followed.

Further to this, CS2’s Post-Contract valuation and assessment enabled the client and project team to track project expenditure. As well as advising on variation costs, our consultants reviewed cost-saving solutions such as the re-use of existing M&E installations and extent of works to the existing roof.
