The Challenge
Rock Spring Hanover Property Unit Trust required a refurbishment of their World War II air craft hangar to provide warehouse accommodation suitable for letting purposes.
The Solution
In order to save the client time and money, CS2 presented a scheme that incorporated the existing foundations, floor slab, steel frame, and perimeter walls, whilst integrating new contemporary fascias and internal accommodation into the design. CS2 produced existing building plans and proposals for this scheme and submitted successful designs to a Building Control Inspector. CS2 managed the planning process to ensure this scheme met the requirements of the local planning authority. Once the scheme had been designed, tendered, and instructed, CS2 was involved in agreeing collateral warranties, compiling contract documentation, liaising with the various consultants, and monitoring the works on site.
