The Solution
CS2 were involved in supporting the client through acquisition, design and specification and finally project management and contract administration of works to refurbish a Grade 2 listed thatch cottage in Higham Ferrers.
The project included replacement thatch and render repairs, requiring liaison with local planners along with ‘Historic England’.
Project Manager Jonny Grove was able to provide specialist building pathology advise relating to internal damp proofing and remediation of historic water ingress issues, specifying a range of measures which worked to protect the character of the building whilst allowing the confidence to specify the high-quality finishes internally to the salon.
