The Challenge
Following extensive flooding, CS2 were instructed to manage the phased repair and refurbishment of the site. The building fabric, fixtures and fittings and electrical services had all been extensively water damaged and were beyond repair. The site was still operational as a tissue manufacturing plant, with portable cabins provided for staff offices and welfare facilities.
The Solution
CS2 liaised with the client, Northwood Tissue (Lancaster) Ltd., and the appointed loss assessor and loss adjuster to agree an insurance settlement. Concurrently, CS2 designed and prepared a full tender package for the space planning, repair, refurbishment and electrical overhaul of the main warehouse ancillary accommodation and standalone office block. CS2 also provided Principal Designer, Project Management and Contract Administration services, working with the appointed contractor to ensure the successful delivery of the scheme.
