The Challenge
Our client the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), required a transformation of an existing property in Central London into their new headquarters facility. CIWEM wanted the project to be heavily influenced by sustainability; recycling existing building materials and using green energy solutions.
The Solution
Initially, CS2 advised CIWEM on the feasibility of the planned headquarters in the London property. Following this, CS2 prepared application and liaised with local authorities to gain planning approval and building regulation consent for the project. During the works, CS2 successfully retained the existing facade to create contemporary offices, a member’s lounge, conference facilities and residential units. CS2 also ensured sustainability measures were enforced throughout the project delivering environmentally-friendly facilities as required by CIWEM.
