The Challenge
The client required cost consultants to assist with the demolition of an existing house and the construction of a new premium residential property incorporating sophisticated audio-visual systems, bespoke bathrooms, kitchens and fitted joinery together with basement cinema room and an 8 person passenger lift
The Solution
Following the agreement of the project budget, comprehensive bills of quantities were produced from detailed design information to ensure that competitive and comparable tenders were received from the carefully selected contractors. On receipt of tenders a value engineering exercise was undertaken ensuring the client received excellent value for money. The fully priced bills of quantities assisted with this exercise and provided a perfect tool for the valuation of interim applications and costing of client changes during the construction phase.
