- Dilapidations Tenant
High street retailer and tenant, The Entertainer, needed to defend themselves against their landlord’s Dilapidations claim which was in excess of £85,000. The client required a negotiation of the scope of works and final settlement regarding the high street premises, including defence against the removal of a passenger lift and mezzanine floor.
CS2 initially provided expert advice on the client’s stance with regard to the landlords claim. CS2 then moved to negotiate the claim on behalf of The Entertainer. Despite a strenuous debate of legal arguments regarding reinstatement, CS2 successfully negotiated with the landlord’s representatives, settling the financial claim at circa £15,000.
