The Challenge
Seco Tools, a Swedish precision engineering firm required assistance with the development of their new headquarters in Czech Republic. Seco’s proposed site was close to their existing offices and they were looking for a bespoke scheme to be built to meet their requirements.
The Solution
CS2 worked with Seco Tools Global real estate team in the UK and Sweden to critique the contract documents and assist with the proposed development works. Seco’s Czech MD identified a Prague based developer to assist with the design and delivery of the construction phase of the project. CS2 advised Seco on the lease documentation and, in conjunction with Wylde IA, prepared a detailed set of Employers Requirements documents which controlled the construction, cladding treatments and fit out works. CS2 attended project and design meetings with the client and the developer prior to the works commencing on site to control the project and ensure that the developer was correctly interpreting Seco’s design requirements.
The construction commenced in Autumn 2014 and the building was occupied in October 2015. The client was extremely pleased with the completed project at a stage when Seco’s Czech business is going from strength to strength creating a great platform to continue the strong forecast business growth.
