The Challenge
During the last two years ForrestBrown has significantly increased its workforce more than doubling their headcount, with plans to continue their growth. Spread over two floors with poor cooling the client had outgrown their workspace in Clifton and required a new headquarters within Bristol on a single floor plate. The workspace had to encourage agile working to accommodate future expansion and brush away the image of a traditional financial service business and inspire a creative work ethic, that reflects their clients.
The Solution
CS2 Bristol Director Mark Humphries acted as Project Manager, delivering a fully refurbished office space managing cost and quality to deliver a unique and forward thinking working environment. CS2 pulled together some of the best talent within the marketspace to deliver a traditional contract enabling the client to have control on cost and quality throughout the process. Traditionally the client would have used a D&B Fitout contractor but this would not have delivered to their requirement on quality control and budget. CS2 pulled in experts in furniture procurement, artwork and design to complete what has been described by some as a very complex project from a design coordination perspective. The Quantity Surveying team worked closely with the Project Manager team to offer Cost Consultancy services; achieving a fantastic finish, within the project budget. ForrestBrown are extremely pleased with the finished project and have commented that the 100+ workforce that moved into their new office are inspired and excited with their new workspace.
