The Challenge
CS2 were instructed to provide Contract Admin and Project Management services for the high-end design and refurbishment of The Bristol Hotel.
The project comprised 21 bedrooms, 2 suites and the whole of the ground floor comprising a restaurant, bar, reception and other communal areas.
The Solution
Through extensive value engineering during the design and tendering phase in Q4 2021, CS2 provided an optimised programme of works which delivered the maximum return on investment for the hotel whilst working within their budget requirement. Careful planning and project management allowed the project to be delivered around the continuing hotel operation.
POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR THE CLIENT
- Good control on costs finishing within 5% of the stipulated budget
- Input for challenging elements of the project; including a 600kg chandelier installation and bespoke stainless steel bar installations, sourced by CS2.
- Careful scheduling of works to allow the hotel to continue its operations.
