CS2 Bristol hosted a client gin tasting evening at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer on King Street in Bristol. The evening kicked off with drinks at the bar and enough food to sink a ship, so stomachs were lined for what laid ahead.
Danny Walker (brother of our very own Ben Walker, Director of the Manchester Office) owns a Gin distillery called ‘Psychopomp’ on St Michael’s Hill in Bristol and brought a selection of gins to taste.
The format of the tasting started with a gin quiz and then everyone’s taste buds were tested by guessing the botanicals in the different gins. Danny shared a plethora of gin based facts, for example…Did you know that in the mid-eighth century, the average consumption of gin per person per day was 2½ pints!!
The event was well attended and a good time was had by all. CS2 wishes to thank The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer for putting on a great spread, Danny for sharing his gin wisdom and to all that attended.
