The Challenge
An international investor was looking to acquire this 1800 building and required a full condition report.
The Solution
CS2 was engaged on behalf of an international investor to report upon the condition of the buildings forming this historic city centre demise. The buildings comprise several different properties which have been interconnected and altered, mainly since the 1800’s. A Norman Foster remodel, circa 2005, rationalised the lower floors to provide a more fluid retail space rather than the previous disparate layout. Our surveyor’s knowledge of early Foster projects helped to identify issues relating to long-term maintenance of the building fabric budget costs for major items. We provided rapid turn-around on the report to prevent the deal being delayed. Our Client subsequently completed the purchase.
