The Challenge
Our client M-Pact Thames required numerous Schedules of Condition to be carried out on a portfolio of 18 properties situated on the Manchester Metrolink lines.
The Solution
CS2 was appointed by transport infrastructure consortium, M-Pact Thames, to undertake schedules of condition and defect analysis reports on properties on Metrolink lines, a total of 18 properties in all. CS2 worked with M-Pact Thames, the main contractor for the on-going Metrolink line extensions in Manchester. Greater Manchester’s Metrolink network is one of the most successful light railway systems in the UK carrying nearly 20 million passengers every year. In May 2009, a special fund of £1.5 billion was agreed for 15 transport schemes in Greater Manchester. These included a further extension to the South Manchester line from St Werburgh’s Road to East Didsbury and a 14 mile extension to the Oldham and Rochdale line.
