Follow the CS2 Yacht in the Rolex Fastnet Race

CS2 are sponsoring The Royal Engineers Yacht Club who are entering their Yacht ‘Trojan’ in this years’ Fastnet race. The Yacht is a J109 design and is competing in Class 3 Division C with a crew of 8. The Rolex Fastnet is the world’s largest offshore yacht race.
On 6th August some 400 boats will be on the Cowes start line, bound for Plymouth via the Fastnet Rock. Many teams will be competing, brimming with ambition with a view to winning, whilst others will simply be excited just to be taking part in this historic yacht race! The race brings together sailors of all ages, with a passion for all things seaworthy. There are several youth teams taking part, ranging in age from 17-22. Lots of teams will be raising money for charity too. If you want to watch the start of the race, the best vantage points will be along Cowes Green and Egypt Esplanade on the Isle of Wight.
For spectators wishing to follow the race and/or a specific yacht, there are a few options. 1) you can track the race live and follow the progress of a specific yacht. Or 3) you can listen live to Fastnet Radio will be broadcasting on the Cowes Radio frequency 87.7FM or catch it on Fastnet TV which will be streamed live on the Rolex Fastnet website or shown on big screens locally.
