The Challenge
Our Client Student Cribs set a up a sub-fund (Professional Cribs) with a view to investing in the purchase of circa fifteen Victorian or Edwardian terraced properties. Each property was to be extended, altered and refurbished to the best potential floor layout to a high-end finish, ensuring maximise sale return. CS2 assisted Professional Cribs at each stage, with activities including undertaking Building Inspections and providing works budget costs prior to purchase.
The Solution
In addition to undertaking building fabric construction designs, structural designs, specifications, tendering and project management of the works from pre-start through to completion of the rectification period.
As the works required compliance with various legislation, CS2 undertook various actions to ensure regulatory compliance, including compliance with The Building Regulations, assisting with planning applications, dealing with party wall awards and ensuring full compliance with CDM Regulations and other health and safety legislation.
